U.S. Army Veteran

1st Armored Division4TH ARMORED DIVISION

Served in The US Army from 1969 to 1971. Joined to join the fight in Vietnam but Uncle Sam had other prioritizes. Was sent to Germany and joined the Cold War activities instead. It was somewhat of a disappointment as I had two of my best friends in Vietnam and I joined to show my support of them and to help our nation in need. It was a time in our country when there were massive protest and draft dodgers were leaving the country rather than participate. But that was the exact reason we were in the fight to begin with. Protecting our Freedom - For all Americans, our rights to believe the things that drive us and act accordingly. I didn't want to be that person. My dad was a World War II survivor with 5 stinking Bronze Stars. He taught me so much by just watching him while growing up. No way was I going to be the person skipping responsibility!
