Joined in 1999 Sergeant Christopher Dietz served with the 611th EN BN under the 983rd Engineer Battalion and the 88th Readiness Division (formerly the 88th Regional Support Command). During his deployments he was attached to the 82nd Airborne Division and 10th Mountain division. He has records of training, deployments, and traveled to Afghanistan, Kuwait, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Guatemala, Germany, Ireland, and U.S. bases at Fort Snelling, Fort Dix, Fort Jackson, Fort Bragg, Fort Leonardwood, and Fort Knox. He served 8 years before getting out of the service in 2007. During his service he was up for a Bronze medal, but ultimately not awarded however he did receive the Army Commendation Medal Ribbon with Bronze Oakleaf signifying recipient X2, The Army Achievement Medal Ribbon, Combat Action Badge/Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Ribbon with Bronze Star Device, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal Ribbon, Armed Forces service Medal Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal Ribbon with M Device, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, NATO ISAF, and Army Meritorious Unit Citation. He was an expert marksman and awarded expert badge for grenades.
