I spent the first four years of my military service in the 410th Security Police Squadron at K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan. During my time at K.I., I was deployed to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in support of Operations Desert Shield and Storm. From there, I went into the active reserves where I served in the 39th Security Police Squadron at Incirlik AB, Turkey. During this time, I became a Base Installation Security Systems operator and served as part of a multi-national force during Operation Provide Comfort. Once my time in Turkey came to an end, I returned to the U.S. and joined the 127th Security Police Squadron at Selfridge Air National Guard Base near Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
