Vietnam 1970-1971 Cobra pilot, Blue Max Aerial Rocket Artillery, First Air Cavalry, CPT. 1971 Army Aviation Unit of the Year. Awarded three medals for heroism in combat, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and Army Commendation Medal. Also received Bronze Star, 42 Air Medals, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Discharged April 1972. 1978-1983 Nebraska Army National Guard flying a UH-1 Helicopter Air Ambulance for the 24th Medical Company.
