In 1967, attended and completed air intelligence training at the Armed Forces Air Intelligence Training Center at Lowry AFB in Denver, CO. In 1968, attached to COMPHIBGRU One (CTF76) aboard the USS Estes. Transferred to COMPHIBGRU Three (CTF76) aboard the USS Eldorado when COMPHIBGRU One completed their deployment in July, 1968. Transferred to COMCARDIV 5 (CTF 77) aboard USS Constellation in September, 1968. COMCARDIV 5 (CTF77) transferred to USS Kitty Hawk when Constellation's deployment was completed.
