- SEAL Team 8 – Founding and Role: Established in 1988, SEAL Team 8 is based at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Virginia. Its primary area of operations is the Caribbean, Africa, and the Mediterranean, specializing in maritime special operations.
- SEAL Team 8 – Operation Support: SEAL Team 8 played a significant role in supporting U.S. Naval operations in the Balkans during the 1990s, including missions related to Operation Provide Promise and Operation Joint Endeavor.
