Jerry Hammons

The 1st Bomb Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force based at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. It is responsible for operating the B-52H Stratofortress bomber aircraft, which are capable of delivering nuclear weapons. The wing has a long history of strategic bombing, dating back to World War II, and has played a key role in numerous conflicts since then. In addition to its combat missions, the 1st Bomb Wing also conducts training exercises and provides support for global operations.
