The 1st Battalion, 21st Field Artillery Regiment (1-21st FA) has a distinguished history within the U.S. Army, tracing its lineage back to its constitution in 1916. The unit served with distinction in major conflicts including World War II, where it supported operations in the European Theater, and later in Vietnam, providing critical fire support. Over the years, 1-21st FA has been part of various divisions, most notably the 1st Cavalry Division, adapting to evolving artillery tactics and technologies. Today, the battalion continues to uphold its proud heritage, supporting modern combat operations and maintaining readiness as a key artillery unit.

The 2nd Supply and Transportation Battalion (2nd S&T Bn) was a key logistics unit of the United States Army stationed at Camp Mobile, near Dongducheon, South Korea. Activated during the Cold War, the battalion provided essential supply, transportation, and maintenance support to the 2nd Infantry Division and other US forces along the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Throughout its service, the 2nd S&T Bn played a critical role in sustaining readiness and operational capabilities on the Korean Peninsula. The unit was eventually inactivated as part of ongoing force realignments and the closure of Camp Mobile in the 2000s.
