146 Aviation Company
U.S. Army
The 146th Aviation Company was a United States Army aviation unit activated during the Vietnam War. Established in the 1960s, it was primarily tasked with providing aerial transportation, including troop movements, supply missions, and medevac operations, using utility helicopters such as the UH-1 Huey. The company operated extensively in support of U.S. and allied ground forces, often flying in challenging combat conditions throughout South Vietnam. After distinguished service marked by numerous commendations, the 146th Aviation Company was eventually inactivated as U.S. involvement in Vietnam wound down.
