The 6th Battalion, 32nd Artillery (6/32nd Artillery) was constituted during the Cold War era as part of the U.S. Army's combat arms restructuring. The 2nd Battalion, 92nd Field Artillery (2/92nd FA) has a distinguished history within the United States Army. Activated during World War II, the battalion provided critical artillery support in the European Theater, contributing to key Allied victories. During the Vietnam War, 2/92nd FA was deployed as a towed 155mm artillery unit, supporting infantry and armored operations in the Central Highlands from 1966 to 1972. The battalion earned commendations for its performance and adaptability in challenging combat environments before its eventual inactivation.
