USS Ogden (LPD-5)

USS Ogden (LPD-5) was an Austin-class amphibious transport dock commissioned by the United States Navy in 1965. Throughout her service, she played a pivotal role in transporting Marines, equipment, and landing craft, notably participating in the Vietnam War and later in Operation Desert Storm. Ogden also supported humanitarian missions, including disaster relief operations in the Pacific. After over 39 years of distinguished service, she was decommissioned in 2007 and later used as a target during a SINKEX exercise in 2014.
USS Platte (AO-186)

USS Platte (AO-186) was a Cimarron-class fleet replenishment oiler commissioned by the United States Navy in 1981. Designed to refuel ships at sea, Platte played a crucial logistical role during her service, supporting operations such as Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. The vessel enabled extended deployments of carrier strike groups by providing fuel and supplies to both ships and aircraft. After nearly two decades of service, USS Platte was decommissioned in 1999 and subsequently struck from the Naval Vessel Register.

USS Nashville (LPD-13) was an Austin-class amphibious transport dock commissioned into the United States Navy on February 14, 1970. Throughout her service, she participated in numerous amphibious operations, humanitarian missions, and exercises, including deployments to the Mediterranean and support for peacekeeping in Lebanon during the early 1980s. In 2006, Nashville played a key role in the evacuation of American citizens from Lebanon during the Israel-Hezbollah conflict as part of Operation Strengthen Hope. After nearly four decades of service, USS Nashville was decommissioned on September 30, 2009.

USS Raleigh (LPD-1) was the lead ship of the Raleigh-class amphibious transport docks, commissioned into the United States Navy on 8 September 1962. Designed to support amphibious assault operations, Raleigh participated in several major exercises and deployments, including operations during the Vietnam War, where she transported Marines and equipment ashore. Throughout her service, she was involved in numerous training missions, humanitarian efforts, and multinational exercises, showcasing her versatility in both combat and non-combat scenarios. After over two decades of service, USS Raleigh was decommissioned on 13 December 1991.

Designed for multi-mission capabilities, she was equipped with advanced radar and missile systems, serving as an escort for carrier battle groups and providing air defense, surface warfare, and anti-submarine capabilities. Throughout her service, Mississippi participated in numerous operations, including deployments to the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf, supporting U.S. interests and allied operations. The ship was decommissioned on July 28, 1997, following the end of the Cold War and subsequent reductions in the Navy’s nuclear-powered surface fleet.
