Little Rock Air Force Base (AFB), located in Jacksonville, Arkansas, was officially opened in 1955 and quickly became a key installation for the United States Air Force. Initially established as a Strategic Air Command base, it later transitioned to Tactical Air Command and eventually Air Mobility Command. The base is renowned as the home of the C-130 Hercules, hosting the 19th Airlift Wing and serving as a premier center for C-130 training and operations. TUSLOG Det 10

TUSLOG Detachment 10 (The United States Logistics Group, Det 10) was a U.S. Air Force unit established in Turkey during the Cold War era. Activated in the 1950s, Det 10 played a critical role in supporting NATO operations and ensuring American logistical, communication, and operational needs were met in the region. The unit operated primarily from Cigli Air Base and later relocated as mission requirements changed. Det 10 was instrumental in maintaining readiness and cooperation between U.S. and Turkish forces until its eventual inactivation as part of post-Cold War drawdowns.

2nd Bomb Wing

The 2nd Bomb Wing (2 BW) was originally activated in 1947 as part of the newly independent United States Air Force, inheriting the lineage of distinguished World War II bomber units. Assigned to Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, the wing has operated a succession of strategic bombers, including the B-29 Superfortress, B-47 Stratojet, and currently the B-52H Stratofortress. Throughout the Cold War, the 2nd Bomb Wing played a crucial role in nuclear deterrence and global strike capability.
