7th Infantry Division

The 7th Infantry Division is a unit of the United States Army based out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington. It was first activated in 1917 during World War I and has since participated in numerous conflicts, including World War II, the Korean War, and the Iraq War. The division is known for its iconic Indian head patch and motto of "Bayonet Division." Today, the 7th Infantry Division remains a key element of the US Army's force structure and is ready to deploy in support of national security objectives.

HHB 32d Army Air Defense Command (AADCOM) served as the headquarters and headquarters battery for the 32d AADCOM, a key U.S. Army unit responsible for air defense operations in Europe during the Cold War. Activated in 1966, the unit was headquartered in Darmstadt, West Germany, and managed subordinate air defense artillery brigades equipped with Nike Hercules and later Patriot missile systems. HHB 32d AADCOM played a pivotal role in the integrated air defense of NATO forces, coordinating the defense of critical assets against potential Soviet air threats. The unit was inactivated in 1991 following the end of the Cold War and the restructuring of U.S. Army forces in Europe.

V Corps, also known as the Fifth Corps, is a storied formation of the United States Army first activated during World War I in 1918. It played a pivotal role in both World Wars, notably participating in the D-Day landings and the liberation of Europe during World War II. Throughout the Cold War, V Corps was headquartered in Germany, serving as a key element of NATO’s forward defense against the Soviet Union. After a period of inactivation, V Corps was reactivated in 2020 to strengthen U.S. Army operations and command in Europe, reflecting renewed focus on collective defense and deterrence in the region.
