Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 234 (VMGR-234), known as the "Rangers," is a United States Marine Corps Reserve squadron based at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas. Originally activated in 1942 as VMSB-234 during World War II, the unit participated in significant Pacific campaigns, including operations in the Solomon Islands. Over the decades, the squadron underwent several redesignations and transitions, notably shifting to a refueling and transport mission with the introduction of the KC-130 aircraft. Today, VMGR-234 provides critical aerial refueling, assault support, and transport services in support of Marine Corps and joint operations worldwide.
