The 1st Battalion, 157th Infantry Regiment (1-157th IN) traces its lineage back to the Colorado National Guard, originally organized in 1860. The unit served with distinction during World War II as part of the 45th Infantry Division, participating in major campaigns in Sicily, Italy, France, and Germany. In the postwar era, the battalion has supported both state and federal missions, including overseas deployments in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Today, 1-157th Infantry continues to serve as a key component of the Colorado Army National Guard, upholding a proud tradition of service and sacrifice.
