The 106th Signal Brigade was originally constituted in 1943 as the 932nd Signal Battalion and served in the European Theater during World War II, providing vital communications support. After several re-designations and periods of inactivation, it became the 106th Signal Brigade in 1986, based at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Throughout its history, the unit has played a key role in delivering secure and reliable communications and information systems to support U.S. Army operations. Today, the 106th Signal Brigade is part of Army Cyber Command and supports cyber and signal operations across the western United States.
