1-5 CAV, also known as 1st Squadron, 5th Cavalry Regiment, is a unit of the United States Army. They are a part of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, based at Fort Hood, Texas. The unit is known for its history of cavalry operations and is equipped with a variety of armored vehicles for reconnaissance and security missions. 1-5 CAV has a long and distinguished history of service, having fought in multiple wars and conflicts throughout the years.
