20th Helicopter Squadron

The 20th Helicopter Squadron, nicknamed the "Green Hornets," was activated during the Vietnam War in 1965 as part of the U.S. Air Force. Formed from the earlier Decima Flottiglia MAS, it became renowned for pioneering the use of manned torpedoes (SLC "Maiale") and explosive motorboats in attacks against Allied shipping.
