History of 151st Infantry Rangers

The 151st Infantry Rangers, also known as "E Company, 151st Infantry (Airborne)," is a distinguished unit of the Indiana Army National Guard. During the Vietnam War, the 151st Infantry Rangers became the only National Guard infantry unit to serve in Vietnam, conducting long-range reconnaissance patrols (LRRPs) as part of the 199th Light Infantry Brigade. Their operations involved deep penetration missions behind enemy lines, gathering crucial intelligence and engaging in direct action missions.
