USCGC Decisive (WMEC-629) is a United States Coast Guard medium endurance cutter commissioned in 1968. Primarily homeported in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Decisive has played a vital role in maritime law enforcement, search and rescue, and counter-narcotics operations throughout the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean. Over its decades of service, the cutter has conducted numerous high-profile drug interdictions and migrant interdiction missions, earning multiple unit commendations.   • Commissioned in 1968: USCGC Decisive (WMEC-629) was commissioned on August 23, 1968, as a Reliance-class medium endurance cutter in the United States Coast Guard.
  • Multiple Homeports: Over its service life, Decisive was homeported in several locations, including New Castle, New Hampshire; Portsmouth, Virginia; Pascagoula, Mississippi; and Pensacola, Florida.
  • Drug Interdiction Operations: Decisive played a significant role in counter-narcotics missions, seizing several tons of illegal drugs during patrols in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.
  • Rescue Missions: The cutter participated in dramatic search and rescue operations, including the rescue of Haitian migrants and mariners in distress.
