ABOUT USS JARRETT
- Namesake: USS Jarrett (FFG-33) was named after Vice Admiral Harry B. Jarrett, a decorated World War II destroyer commander and later a key naval leader in the Pacific Theater.
- Class: USS Jarrett was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate, one of the most widely used frigate classes in the US Navy during the late 20th century.
- Commissioning: She was commissioned on 2 July 1983 at San Diego, California, and served the US Navy for 30 years.
