History of 48th Fighter Wing

The 48th Fighter Wing is a United States Air Force unit based at RAF Lakenheath in England. It is responsible for flying and maintaining the F-15 fighter jets. The wing's mission is to provide responsive combat airpower, deploy and sustain forces, and safeguard the freedom of the skies.
