10th Transportation Battalion

The 10th Transportation Battalion was constituted on 1 May 1936 in the Regular Army as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 10th Quartermaster Regiment, and was activated on 1 June 1941 at Camp Livingston, Louisiana. Redesignated as the 10th Transportation Battalion in 1946, the unit played a crucial role in World War II, providing logistical support in both the European and Pacific theaters. Throughout the Cold War, Vietnam War, and Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, the 10th ensured the rapid and efficient movement of personnel, equipment, and supplies.
