244th QM Battalion

The 244th Quartermaster Battalion was first constituted on 19 November 1941 in the Army of the United States and activated on 1 December 1941 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. During World War II, the battalion provided vital logistical support in the European Theater, ensuring the delivery of essential supplies to frontline units. Following the war, the unit underwent several reorganizations and assignments, adapting its mission to meet changing Army requirements. Today, the 244th QM Battalion is stationed at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia, where it plays a key role in training and developing Quartermaster Soldiers for the United States Army.
