Martin W. Weleski - submitted by William W. Karp
Bill, it has been many years since you and I lay in that God forsaken rice field, I remember it as if it were yesterday, you were my first and last true friend in vietnam, after your death I tried not to get too close to anyone, I miss you. You actually saved my life the day you died by stopping bullets that should have killed me. Many times I have asked why didnt I too die that day with no answers. You will never be forgotten.
