Honoring U.S. Military Veterans -
The Veterans Business Directory at VetFriends.com

VetFriends.com encourages people to honor U.S. veterans in a new way: Thank them for their military service and then do business with them at the VetFriends.com nationwide online Veterans Business Directory free for all to view. Veterans and military personnel can also access a free business resource section at VetFriends.com.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (March 27, 2008) -- Carrying the spirit and tradition of supporting U.S. military veterans, VetFriends.com - the largest Web site for reuniting U.S. veterans - has created a nationwide online directory of veteran-owned companies and professionals at www.vetfriends.com/business. Everyone at VetFriends.com encourages the community to honor veterans in a new way: Thank them for their military service and then do business with them.

The Veterans Business Directory at VetFriends.com allows users to search a free, online directory to find services and products both locally and nationwide. Visitors can browse by city, state and specific category of interest, ranging from plumbers to real estate agents to security experts and information technology, through hundreds of categories. Listings provide a company description and full contact information including phone, fax, address, web address, e-mail and more.

Veterans interested in listing their business or service along with companies who currently employ veterans, can learn more by visiting www.vetfriends.com/business and clicking on the "Business Listing Options" link. All registered businesses will receive up to 10 free Veterans Business Directory logo stickers to display and show their pride. Companies will also be included in the VetFriends.com special member e-newsletter to further promote their business reaching up to 45,000 members.

For veterans interested in information on starting a new business, VetFriends.com offers a free "Business Resource" section with guides, links, business tips and more to further assist veterans at www.vetfriends.com/directory/links/index.cfm. Information can be found on lending programs, grants, business planning, veteran affairs and more.

Other features available on VetFriends.com include: search over 850,000 members to make contact with military service buddies and family; information on how to obtain military records and medals; message boards; upload past and present photos; military jokes; search and post reunions; military products and discounts; along with a variety of other features and services.

Founded in 2000 by Marine Corps veteran of Desert Storm, Dale F. Sutcliffe, thousands of people have been reconnected through VetFriends.com, spanning from World War II through to Operation Desert Storm and the present. Since that time, over 12,000 businesses have registered in the Veterans Business Directory and there are currently over 850,000 members of the Web site.
